Sorry it's been awhile since I updated. Owen has started speech since he is delayed in talking. He only says Dada right now. The doctors thought it would be best for him to start and I completely agree. So I have been very busy with getting everything set up. Being tested, picking out which therapist, and I can go on and on. They come to our house. Which is really nice so I don't have to drive all the way to Aiken. He meets with a EI (Early Intervention Specialist) 1x a week and we're waiting for a Speech Therapist who will also start coming 1x a week too. Right now, his EI is working with him doing sign language and the mm sound. I can't wait till I hear him say Mama for the first time.

Owen had a great Christmas! He has so many toys now. I call our house toys-r-us, lol. He is definitely spoiled.

As for Joe and I, we are doing good. We just had our 4th year Anniversary. It went by fast. I decided to stay home with Owen. After searching for jobs and having to start Owen's therapy. I feel it's best for our family. We have paid down some bills and Joe is doing well at work so things are good. We have been talking and since Owen will be 2 in May, we have started trying for our 2nd. We want them to be close in age. But after 2, I'm done, lol. Yeah I know I said no more after Owen but he needs a sibling. Joe and I both have siblings and we would have hated growing up without them.

We have new additions to our family. Our nephew Aiden Michael 12/10/08 and niece London Alexis 1/16/09. They are both beautiful! Well I think all the babies in our family are beautiful. We can't wait to meet them. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day! I'll try to not wait so long to update again, lol.

Well thanks to my pal Jenn, I found a cool way to let my family and friends know how our life was going. We just had Halloween and Owen made the cutest superman ever. (Of course that's how us mommies are, our children are only the cutest, hehe). Owen had a blast going around house to house. We even ran into some people dressed like snoopy and the great pumpkin and he really liked snoopy. He didn't know what to think.

This year has went by sooo fast, I can''t believe Owen is 17 months already. Wow, guess it's time for another one. Shhhh! Don't say anything to Joe, lol. Well it's November, best time of the year. Great weather. I'm can't wait till thanksgiving. Hmmm, I can smell the turkey and pumpkin pie now. I better stop, haha, making myself hungry. Before we know it, Christmas will be here. Isn't it funny, when your a kid, things seemed to take forever to go by and when your an adult, everything goes by way too quickly.

Joe and I are doing good. Well besides money issues here and there, but hey, who isn't right now. I've been looking for a job. Man, is it hard. It seems impossible but I'm going to keep trying. Joe is still working in the car business. Although he tells me all the time, he's going to look for a new job. HaHa, yeah right, we'll see. I don't think you could drag Joe away from cars.

Owen has been doing much better with his tummy troubles. We found out he was allergic to milk, so he's been on soy milk for a little while now. We are working on getting rid of the pacy soon. I'm not looking forward to this. He is very attached. Always one pacy in his mouth and another pacy in his hand. He just switches them back and forth. That's Owen for you. Also trying to get him to understand NO right now. He is getting into EVERYTHING. Oh boy, does he get mad if you don't let him do as he pleases. You can't help to laugh though.
Crazy boy getting into the cabinets, lol

I will write back soon on life with the Scheffs. Good night!
